Our Providers
AMS patients can be treated by more than 200 specialists nationwide, at our multi-specialist centers, acute care centers, or some private office locations. Each specialist is either Board-certified or Board-eligible, is fully credentialed within the specialty, and is committed to providing skillful care as we fulfill our mission to improve America’s health, one patient at a time.
Credentialling Process
AMS uses National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards, known as the “gold standard” for credentialing all specialists. We require the following:
- Verification of a current, up-to-date, clear license to practice medicine (done through a National Practitioner Database query)
- Disclosure of all malpractice cases within the last five years of practicing medicine
- Disclosure of any pending malpractice claims
- Verification of a Curriculum Vitae, Federal DEA Certificate, and State Controlled Substance Certificate
- Required State-appropriate professional and general liability coverage
- Completion of a background check
- Adherence to the AMS substance abuse policy and a successful pre-contracting drug test
